SNOW....be careful what you wish for.

If you ever read my blog then you know I am a big fan of snow. (Here is an archive of just how much!)

It was the thing I missed the most in Alabama, and the thing I was most excited about in moving to Gloucester. Everyone here thinks I am nuts except for a few peeps who share in my love and jump for joy and catch snowflakes on their tongues just like I do! Most everyone else just grumbles and complains about it. Not this little Canadian. :)

Well this year I certainly got what I wished for. We have had MONUMENTAL amounts of it.It is actually to the point its a little funny....um well to me. I think its all just for me. Who knows where we will end up after we are done here in school. Maybe California! I am sure getting a good dose of it while I can.

Excuse me while I go warm up my car......Where is it?

Maybe I should trade the good old Maxi in for this...

Stay warm peeps. And if you live in the warmth you coulllllld send a little sunshine our way to melt down the snow banks. Just sayin' :)

A Few Things

A few good things about living in Mass.

1.No Tax on Groceries or Clothes....happy shopping!

2. Gas is currently 1.70

3. Free Health care for all

4. Having a Baby is free. We definitely need to take advantage of that one.

5. All the great sports teams! Go Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots!

A few Bad things.......

1. Terrible drivers that pull out in front of you turning on the street at any time they feel like it. They refer to them as Mass holes. he he.

2. No Hobby Lobby

3. You have to pay for your trash.

4. Toll Booths

5. No Jim n' Nicks or any real sweet tea.....:(

OH and a lady stopped in the middle of our street today. Got out of her car in the pouring rain. And stole the lid to our garbage can. Really? Just the lid? Why not take the whole thing? I have a feeling that's a OIG.....Only in Gloucester.

OH and notice I cant' even spell my own state...hence just referring to it as "Mass" ya that's just fine with me.

WE MADE IT!!!!

Well....we made it here after 20 + hours in a big ol' budget truck!
Can I just say I am in love with everything. Our town, our apartment, my job...(start on Monday met the kids last night) God has really blessed us. We had so much fun with Rachel who joined us on our little adventure. We will post pics and updates on our life here. We miss Shades Mountain already! We are excited to visit a church in the city on Sunday though. The weather is wonderful. The first few days were really hot but it has cooled down a lot. A beautiful ocean breeze flows through our apartment and this morning we had to close the windows it was so cool in the house in the 68 to be exact. But by the afternoon it is sunny and beautiful. The beach is 5 miles from our house and we have enjoyed it the last few days. Today was sunny& breezy with NO HUMIDITY! The town we live in is soo cute! Really y'all need to come visit! Rachel can testify to that. We miss you all and hope you are well! (Josh starts Greek on Monday pray for the transition we will both have to make with him in school again.)

Busy Busy Busy

Well, I really have so much to blog about. God is good that is the first thing. He always is and always will be. I was baptized by my husband Sunday. One of the best days of my life. I will post more about that later when I can upload the pics.
Passion was amazing. One of the best weekends of my life. I enjoyed every minute of it. Here are a few pics some from the web site some of my own of this awesome event:

We have found an apartment in Gloucester! Or should I say God did. I am so excited about it. My dear friend Alexis went to visit it to make sure its ligitamite. The people we are renting from are so sweet. The town itself is what I am so excited about. The Perfect Storm was filmed there. It is a quaint fishing, New England type city. Want to see some pics? I thought so:

Cute eh? Well I am sure I will have more praises for you soon. God is going to have to provide for us MAJORLY in the next month. Moving in and of it self will cost a ton. Pray for us! We trust that God has called us here and He will provide.
We are so excited to get involved in a church called City Life in Boston. It is a church plant from Tim Keller's Church. It is so neat to have a clear calling on our lives. My Husband is so passionate about the Gospel and reaching out to the people of the city. It is neat to know that city is going to be Boston....Greater things are yet to be done in this city.
